I am pondering why it is necessary to bring the issue of sexual preference into this race at all. Matthew, you need some extensive vetting to do the goodly and quality work already done by Rep. Stan Lee. Now my musings are that there is *definitely* some hidden agenda or possibly hidden support outside of KY. Kentuckians do not need a Representative who will directly undermine the Constitution of KY or the USA which is the foundation of the state and USA. What about the perversions of morals of the next generation, they have a free will choice also. They do not need extreme radical philosophies with which to taint their innocent minds!

There is nothing in this campaign except to keeping KY clean (balanced budget) and righteous in all areas of KY life. Matthew is already condemning his own campaign by running as a *gay* which is really stating he fully supported by minority special interests. Matthew, you need not cast aspersion on your opponent when you, yourself, have ZERO track record and are totally unqualified for the job you seek. Stan Lee is the right man for the job. I want, I beleive KY does too, a person of experience and man of valor already tested in the fire of battle, rather than some unknown seeking to push a s hidden and possibly nefarious agenda!
=====
@fateful....
"Will Matthew do a good job as a representative? That I don’t know, however I have faith in him. At least he believes we can stand together without “fearing the stache”." YOU DO NOT KNOW!!!!! WOW!

* Show me a link of some information for the accomplishments of budgetary management for Matt.

Wow, what would y'all say of Moses', Isaiah's, Joshua's facial hair! (not likening Stan Lee to them). Can I call y'all anti-semetic! How immature and shallow! Grow up people, there are more serious problems to solve in KY than this *gay* or *stache* issue! If you do not get to a balanced budget and stop the spending, the survival of the nation(+KY) will be your top issue of the day! BTW: Spending came about because of liberal bantering and politico rattling, not for men of honor like Rep. Stan Lee (and others) who has voted against the spending.

I think Matthew will make Lexington a good representative. He will work very hard for the people he represents. He has always been intelligent but I guess I can say that I am his father.

To Mrs. Tarawa1943,

Did you even read the article or read anything Mr. Vanderpool has stated about the issues? No! Clearly you only focused on one thing, the fact that he is gay. Does being gay say anything about one's character, or how they will or will not to a job?

You are clearly misguided in your views. I'm sorry to say that but you are. By saying that Matthew should take "his sexual sin perversion to New Zealand" shows a lack of respect for your fellow man.

You hide behind your words while he at least has the courage to stand up to his convictions. You show your ignorance and intolerance of the issues at hand. You are the one who needs to mature and get a life.

Will Matthew do a good job as a representative? That I don't know, however I have faith in him. At least he believes we can stand together without "fearing the stache".

God bless you madame and may he save your soul.

Mr. Vanderpool, I wish you the best of luck and God bless.

To Matthew Vanderpool

Does being gay (homosexual) have anything to do with the job your attempting to acquire? Is "gay" a job requirement? Boldly you professed, boldly I reply: The job has nothing to do with your sexual sin perversion. It does not period! Because you so boldly introduced the subject, I will boldly say cultural activism in the realm of homosexual illegal and immoral paths (per the KY Constitution and the job description) has nothing to do with your Political position. Get a life and take this deception to New Zealand.
