Republican activists threw out their party chairwoman Saturday, then bucked Texas Governor Rick Perry by pushing for a crackdown on illegal immigration similar to Arizona’s new law. New Texas GOP Platform: criminalize gay marriage and ban sodomy, outlaw strip clubs and pornography.

No Texas marriage may be legal because of a legal error in passing 2005′s same-sex marriage ban

Barbara Ann Radnofsky, the Democratic candidate for Texas Attorney General says no marriages in the state of Texas may be legal because of the 2005 constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage and unions. The problem is with Subsection B, which declares neither the state or a political subdivision of the state may create or recognize any legal status identical or similar to marriage.
